Notes: Grown in the highlands of Tanzania, Arabica coffee thrives in regions like Kilimanjaro, Arusha, and especially Mbeya, the country’s largest producing area. This lot, Mutwari Peaberry, comes from the Mbozi, Mbeya Rural, Ileje, and Rungwe districts and is sourced through Tembo Coffee Company. Peaberry forms when a single dense seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of two, often resulting in a more concentrated, expressive cup. While peaberry can occur anywhere, Tanzania has built a strong reputation for its quality. This particular lot delivers the classic profile: a heavy, wine-like body with a bright citrus finish. It’s produced by a group of around 50 smallholder farmers who depulp and wash their coffee at home before delivery.
